Landscape architecture for any environment

Designing a landscape is more than placing trees and plants in a yard. The best landscapes are ones that blend perfectly with the surrounding environment so that they don’t clash. At GMC Landscapes, we keep this in mind during the entire process, so we can use art and the environment together to come up with a look that we know you will love.

If you want to work with a team that is willing to listen to you, then we encourage you to speak with us at GMC Landscapes. Our landscapers will come up with a gorgeous landscape design that you will love for many years. We have worked in Carlton Park and other local neighborhoods in Seattle and help clients with a wide variety of budgets. Our landscapers take pride in their work, and we are thrilled to show you examples of previous projects so that you see what we can do. Reach out to us today.

A peaceful neighborhood in Carlton Park

The Seattle, WA neighborhood of Carlton Park is a small residential neighborhood south of Briarcliff and west of Magnolia. It sits along Elliot Bay, north of the downtown area. Carlton Park is on Magnolia Bluff, which means residents have beautiful views of the city landscape and surrounding waters. While this neighborhood is close to downtown Seattle, life here moves more slowly. As with the other neighborhoods on Magnolia Bluff, Carlton Park is connected to the rest of the city by three bridges.

Carlton Park has a similar feel to its neighbor Briarcliff but is still its own distinct community. Although there are a few restaurants and stores scattered in the neighborhood, it is primarily residential and residents head to Magnolia and other communities for their commercial needs. A bus route along West Viewmont Way provides those residents without a car access to other parts of Seattle. Living in Carlton Park also gives families with children access to excellent schools in the surrounding neighborhoods.

There are several small parks throughout the community, so residents can get out and enjoy views of the bay and watch the sunset. Head over to Magnolia Viewpoint for a picnic or walk over to Carlton Center to sit on the grass with friends. There are opportunities to get to know neighbors through community events or by stopping by to say hello as you stroll through the neighborhood.

The 534-acre Discovery Park is not far from Carlton Park, so for those looking for more outdoor activity, you will find what you need. There are beaches for swimming and kayaking, trails for running and walking, and much more to see and do.

If you love the idea of living in the city but prefer a small, quiet community to call home, Carlton Park is worth considering.
